Crispy thread chicken is crispy and tender chicken with delicious taste. I am sure everyone in the family will love this amazing recipe. This thread chicken is a kids pleaser, kids love it due to its crispy taste. This makes for an impressive party snack or can just be an easy homemade indulgence. If you are a veg lover you can try this recipe with paneer. This appetizer is a spicy treat you will find hard to resist. | INGREDIENTS FOR MARINATION Red chilli powder – 1/2 Tsp Black pepper powder – 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder – 1/4 Tsp Garam masala powder – 1/2 Tsp Coriander powder – 1/2 Tsp Cumin powder – 1/2 Tsp Chicken powder – 1/2 Tbsp Green chilli paste – 1 Tbsp Ginger garlic paste – 1 Tbsp Orange food colour – A pinch Salt – To taste Beaten egg – 1/2 Chicken strips – 375 grams Cornflour – 1/2 Tbsp FOR THREAD COATING Samosa patti – As required Cornflour – (1-2) Tbsp Cooking oil – Required for frying

TIPS TO GET THE THREAD CHICKEN PERFECT1. Marinate the chicken atleast for 30 minutes to get a soft and tender chicken. 2. Use sharp knife to cut the samosa sheets into thin thread like strips. 3. Sprinkle the cornflour on the threads so that it coats well with the marinated chicken. 4. Make sure to fry the thread chicken on low flame to avoid browning.

INSTRUCTIONS1. In a bowl add red chilli powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, chicken powder, green chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, orange food colour, salt, egg and whisk well. 2. Add chicken and mix well. 3. Add cornflour and mix well, cover and marinate for 30 - 40 minutes. 4. Place samosa sheets on cutting board and cut into thin (Threads like) strips. 5. Spread evenly and sprinkle cornflour and coat well. 6 . Coat the marinated chicken strips with the samosa sheet threads and press gently to flatten strips properly. 7. Let them rest for 10 minutes, we can also prepare and store them in an airtight container for up to 1 month in freezer for later use. 8. In a wok, heat cooking oil and deep fry the thread chicken on low flame until golden and crispy. 9. Flip them in between once after 5 minutes. 10. Serve them with dips. Enjoy with friends and family. |
